MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Visit to the Library of Congress re the National
Capital Planning Commission
Congress and noted several listings pertaining to them (NCPC) such as the year
2, 000 plan, transportation studies, and the like that were prepared for them by
consulting firms. There was also a card pertaining to annual reports of a pred-
ecessor of the Commission. A search for annual reports since 1952 was of no
avail. The library assistant's search for publications of the Commission were
also fruitless. The catalogue of Government publications referred only to their
own hearings before Congress for appropriations. Examination of several of
these did not produce any pertinent information.
