Orig Pub : Soobshch. AN GruzSSR) 1956) 17, No 10, 945-950
Abstract : Fatty embolism was caused in 12 rabbits by
slowly intro-
ducing a small quantity of sterile rabbit fat in the vein.
With the introduction of small doses each 24 hours) the
lives of the animals were preserved up to 3-35 days.
ECG were registered in standard readings. During the mar-
ked course of embolism, the changes went o '1y during the
1-
2nd introduction of fat,, but with the introduction of
very
small doses - through 19-20 days. The sharpest changes
'Were noted before the death of the animal. In the begin-
ning, the pulse rate and systolic index increased,

the Tl-vave became high and mucronate, while the T -wave -
negative* The ST seGment was displaced down in I Egree
and up to III degree readinGs. Proceeding from the
Weissbein conception) the author proposes that the absence
of changes in the II degree can be deffection reading used
as a differential diagnostic between embolism of the pul-
monary artery and infaret of the miocardia. The EOG cha-
racteristics are registered not only for fatty embolism,
but also for the hypoxia of the miocardia connected with
difficulty of gaseous exchange in the lungs and with local
disorders of circulation in the cardiac muscle due to obs-
truction of vessels. With such a form of embolism) the
pulm-coronary reflex has second-degree value.

ABSTRACT: The thuory on the stability of diMpuntial equations in
the first
appro.-d,ration and with continuous perturbations is extended to
stochastic
difference systems subjected to random ~;arkov affects. The
investigation is
based on a modification of Lyapu'nov's second method.
Three systems are investigated:
1) A system described by the stochastic vector difference equation

system

PERIODICAL: Priborostroyeniyet no. 1. 19629 26
TEXT: The authors describe temperature controlling circuit using
a semi-conductor temperature transducer; the circutt was
developed
at the SKTB MFP. The sensing element, transforming the
temperature
into electrical signals is the thermal resistor IMT-4, making
one
of the arms of a balanced bridge? the two other arms of which
are
composed of wire-wound resistors Ri and R2, the fourth arm
having
wire-wound resistors R 4 (coarse) and R 3 (fine adjustment). The
bridge Supply is 50 cls mains. The main advantage of the bridge
is
that it is practically insensitive to supply voltage 'ehanges.
The
output of the bridgep being inadequate to operate the switching
re-
lay of the heating system, is amplified in a 4-stage amplifier
using

pencil-type tubes type 6 H2fl (6N2P) and 6H ip (6N1P). The HT ampli-
fier powbr supply has a bridge-type rectifier with type Ar- q24
(Dq-Ts24) diodes. The first and third stages of amplification have
anode decoupling. The last stage operates as a coincidence circuit,
i.e. it amplifies the signal only when both anode and grid are po.-
sitive. Re anode load of the fourth tube is the relay PA4r (RDOh
G). The arrangement which switches the.sUpply to the heating arran-
gement and the tubes is the relay PKH(RKN). The power supply unit
consists of a transformerp rectifier and filtero The transformer
has the primary tapped for 127 and 220 V and secondary for 200;
110:,
150; 6o3; 24 and 6 V. The 200 and 150 windings are screened fru:1
each other. The laboratory tests of the dry air thermostat 4 -4-0
(Ts-450) with the new temperature control have shown that while with
the described circuit the basic thermostat parameters become simp-
ler, the accuracy increases from 0.5 to 0.250C and the sensiti-
vity of the transducer increases to 0,.10Ca The iifR-time of the
controller also increases. The control temperature range is 20 -
600C. There is 1 figure. [Abstractor's note: Essentially a complete

ABSTRACT: The authors investigated experimentally the structure of
an air vortex ring
by methods of thermoanemometry and high-speed motion picture
photography. The air
flow was produced by a piston moving in a cylindrical tube and
striking a partition,
and the vortex formation was produced by the nozzle placed on the
frea end of the
cylinder. The shape of the nozzle was determined experimentally.
The velocity field
of the vortex rings was measured with two thermoanemometers
located at fixed distanceB
from the end of the tube (Fig. 1). The measurements yielded the
velocity field, the
streantline pattern, and the distribution of the velocity curl.
The results confirmed
the classical streamline pattern. It is shown that the velocity
curl is localized al-
most entirely inside a central toroidal region called the core of
the vortex ring,
with the axes of the torus coinciding with the circular axis of
the vortex. The
velocity, curl drops off rapidly from the center of the core with
increasing distance
from the center of the core. An analysis of the experimental
results leads to the

ABSTRACT: The large flotation-enrichment factories are
characteristic
of the lead-zinc, copper, copper-nickel, and copper-molyb-
denum metallurgical plants of Kazakhstan. At present, the
technological processes in connection with the production
of the concentrate are far from being automatined. Thus,
from 116 to 31 % of the entire personrpl are at present re-
quired for the work of taking samples. This 4-3 all. tile
more
astonishing as the factories of Earamrroldy.,
B&aY)j-1Gb,',W '
Mirga~way have well-functioning automatic sumple-col-
lectors in operation. No such device was set up in the en-
richment-factory of Achisay Jn -057. "Mekhanolbr" developed

Some questions Relating to the Automatization of
Production Processes in
Refining Factories of the Nonferrous Metallurgical Works
of Kazakhstan
As soon as a metal object is detected on the conveyer band,
a warning signal is sounded. The object is removed by hand
and the blocking of the band is lifted. Only two devices
of this type are in operation, viz.,at,the enrichment fac-
tory of Zyryanovsk. In the Balkhasb works the entire
transport system of the crusher department is automatically
switched on- and off. The relative production of this
station was increased by 100 % during the, last year.
Conveying of material to the rock-crushli~g'mills has been
automatized only at the Tyrny-Auz - works. The result was
a 45 % saving of personnel. The automatic control of pulp
density proved to be especially economical. A sum of 3
million Rubles was saved per annum at Balkhash~-.`-- At
other
factories automatization has as yet not been introduced.
At Balkhash ivork is at present being carried out for the
purpose of automatizing the working of acidified copper ore
(Professor Mostovich). The concentrate now contains 30-35 %
copper as against 15-17 %, which wac its former content.
"Gintsvetmet" worked out a project for the complete auto-
Card 2/3 matization of a copper factory. The costs amount
to 9,9
