In this method the baby lies prone, the lateral surface of the head, tilted 160 in
the direction of the examined car, is adjacent to the film. The tube is inclined
cranially 15* and 2 comparative views are taken on a 13 x 18 cm. film. This po-
attion is more convenient for babies than the Sch(Iller view. the body of the baby

The examination of the auditory organ of 1000 infants in the modified SchOller's ble,
projection shows that in 7556 of normal new-born infants only the antrurn is visi
whereas in 25116 the beginning of pneumatization is to be observed. After the 3rd
month of extrauterine life the cellular system is visible in most cases. Inhibited
pneurnatization is the consequence of inflammations.
