Abstract The absolute leukocyte count as well ad the leukograM
of the peripheral blood may show great variations.in
the course of 24 hours, especially in people with a
labile vegetative nervous system. These variations do,
not follow any strict laws2 as bone marrow and periphe-
ral blood are subjected to extero- and interoceptive
influences. The two-phase digestion leukocytosis is
typical: the.first and relatively long-lasting phase

ishing the surfaces of electrically velded tubes having adiameter of 40 mm or less.,
This method of finishing is used atthe mill. where thereis excess metal atthe seam
during butt welding. Temperature measurements of the seam metal inside~the,.moving tube,.~
were tak6n at,10, 50, 80, 120 'and 170 mm from the,welding zone during production at.-
welding speeds of 18, 25 and 40 m/min. Each.set of ten measurements was averaged and
the value recorded in,the final data. The results show that the,'gradiefit of tempera--.
ture decrease-of the welded seam is greatest where the rate of welding,is 18 M/minv.and

ABSTRACT: Several domestically produced ferrite materials were investigated for their,
suitability for use in parametrons. In addition, a measuring scheme for the
simultaneous determination of all the magnetic properties of parametrons was developed
(see Fig. 1). A discussion (including the pertinent 'ma-thematio equations) of the
desired properties of parametrone and the experimental quality criteria for the.latter
is presented. It was found that the domesticallyproduced ferrites-are unsuitable for
construction of parametrons and it is concluded that a specialferrits technology must
be developed for the production of ferrite materials which Will, give high q%ality
ferrites suitable for oonstruction of perametrons.

ABSTRACT: About one third of all the cultivated land in-Lithuania
consists of acid soilq. Calcifying them is consequently
a very essential measure. Investigations by~the author
