In late January at a meeting of the Hong Kong Executive Committee of "the
South China Sub-Bureau, CIIANG Tioh-.shong*, Chairman of the Committee? made
the following announcements.
a, Chinese Cotmchumist military authorities are planning to invade Hong
Kong, Macao, and Indochina soon,
b. All possible political and military information on those areas must
be consolidated by the Committee as soon as possible,
co The Committee must establish armed underground forces in Hong Kong and
I.iacao to aid the regular Chinese Communist Array troops when the invasion
is startod.*
d. Members of the Committee should obtain positions wit} communications
organizations in Hong Kong to aid in obtaining control of these.
2. Communists who live in Singapore, the United States, and the Philippines,
or who have relatives there are being trained at Nanfang University in
Canton and sent to those countries.*** From 1 December 1950 until the
end of January 1951 about 300 graduates were sent to these countries.
