ABSTRACT: In the process of anodizing of Al and its alloys
(AMg, AMts,
and D16) in 30/0 oxalic acid a decrease in anode cd is

the thinnest films (F) form on the D16 alloy, and the thickest
ones on the AMg alloy. The porosity of the anodic films was
determined by the gravimetric method, i. e. , by filling of
the
pores with oil. The greatest porosity was observed on D16
alloy and the least on Al. The rate of dissolution was estab-

dissolution of anodic F was observed for D16, the lowest for Al;
this is
explained by the different porosity and development of the surface
of the F.
The electrical insulating properties of the F can be considerably
improved
by filling the pores with 1154-grade (TUMKhP 10 13-43)

TITLE: On the History of the Lena Valley (K istorii doliny Leny)
PERIODICAL: Tzvestiya Akademii nauk SSSR, Seriya geograficheskaya,
1958, Nr 5, pp 42-46 (USSR)
ABSTRACT: Data is given on the relief structure of Siberia and in
par-
ticular on the development of the Lena river valley. The
author assumes the ancient origin of the valley. On the
basis of the presented material he states that the basic
characteristics of the valley structure are determined by
the geological-structural peculiarities of the region. With
respect to the different ages of various parts of the valley,
the age of the oldest terrace is being evaluated as Upper-
Tertiary. It can be assumed that the Lena valley was formed
at the end of the Neogene period. All existing data on
stratigraphy of Cenozoic deposits and the geomorphological
peculiarities of the valley structure permit the assumption
that its development dates from the end of Tertiary to the
Card 1/2 beginning of Quaternary.

in August 1955 in described. The patient, after having his legs immersed
(20-40

irritation in the
skin of the legs. During the following night the pruritus increased and
erythema
and papules appeared. The papules later became purulent and ulcerated.
Pruritus
disappeared after 2 weeks but large papules persisted for 5-6 weeks. In
skin
scrapings the tails of cercariae of schistosomatidae of the type the
adult form of
