COVERAS: The book Is based on the program for the course in radio receivers at commaications instit-ates. The authors assume that, the reader is familiar with the fundamentals of radio circuit Vxory (including transient processes), with Seneral methods of amplifier circmtt'~,'-&mlysis, fluctuation r-oise in Wma and electric circuits, the operatt.-ig characteristics of vacuum tabes at vez7 high_ftequencies, and ot*rbr related problems. Because of the broad scope of the book the authorB have ileallt only briefly with certain subjects, e.g., tali?!vision receiver video trafits, radio relay lines (multichannel reception of vez7 high frequencies),, antennas, etc. Transistorized circ U-t 4.1wory has not been hilly discussed because of its still early stage of development. cwda~&*- -~Rsao Receivers 1OBB 11.1. On January 9, 1958 Professor Viktor Naumovich Millshteyn, Dr... of Technical Sciences died at the age of 44. After lie finished the Moskau Institute for Power Engineering he worked in industry and as pedogogue. In.1938 he beeame Candidate and in 1945 Dr. of Technical Sciencev. Since then he was Director of the Chair for Electric and Automatic Apparatus at the Moskau Institute for Aviation imeni Ordzhonikidze. In 1949 lie changed over to the Scientific Research Institutes for Systems at the Committee for Standards, Measures and Measuring Apparatus. At the same time he worked as pedogogue at the Penza Institute for Industry and then at the Moskau Electrotechnical Card 1/2 Institute for Telecommun-,4cations. He wrote many V.,N. Millshteyn (Deceased) lOi-58-4-35/37 publications and many inventions were made by him. His scientific work included the field of theoretical electrical engineering and radio engineering as well as the problems on the theory and the calculation of measuring instruments, automation elements and electromagnetic mechanisms. Before his death he had his monography "The Energetic Relations in Electrical Measuring Instruments" printed. There are 1 figure. AVAILABLE: Library of Congress 1. To increase the accuracy of measurement with changes Inthe electromignetio properties of the medium, the rods with the conducting elements are shifted In height so that their output stop characteristics are ahiftal relative to each other by half a step, Orig. art. hass 1 diagram. .ASSOCIATIONs none SUBMIMM 28M64 ENCLs 01 SUB 00181 Is NO-MW SOVs ODD OTHER I ODD Card 1/2 -:7. t 35563--i~5 -A (d)/-.W*P(l%,/W(V), W-h IACCWSION IM: AP5008210 S/0286/65/000/005/0000/0080 I 3o JAUTHORSs Viktorovp V. TITLE: Power absorption at super-high frequency during remagnetization of a thin ferromagnetic film PERIODICAL: Fizika metallov i V.14, no.i, 19621,125-126 TEXT: Power absorption was observed when a thin ferromagnetic. film located in a we" super-high-frequency (3.2 cm) field produced by a klystron generator is remagnetized by a low frequency sinusoidal field excited by a coil supplied from an audio frequency generator. The tests.:wvre made on permalloy discs- 1000 A0 thick, 16 mm diameter, prepared by evaporation in vacuo. increase of the remagnetizing field applied along the axis of sa A*Xnetization of the film did not affect the absorption peak dxcept to reduce its base width. This indicated that high- frequency power''is absorbed only during remagneiization of the filml the absorption'int*nsi~y increaned'at the beginning of Card 1/2 S/126/62/014/001/011/018' Power absorption at ... E194/E435 remagnetizatiod, reached-a maximum and theni tailed off to its initial value when remagnetization was completed. 'When the angle between the direction of remkgnetimation and the axis of easy magnetization coincided, strong absorption was observed: it was less near the direction of difficult magnetization. The absorption did not depend on Trequency. The shape of hysteresis loop as function of the angle between the akis of easy magnetization and the direction of the remagnetizifij-, field showed that remagnetization -of the film occurred over a field range of 25 to 30 00- The observed phenomena are attributed to the formation-of and changes in the domain structure during the remagnetization process.;-.Theks are,2,~figures.
