1. A warning has been issued to all cells and local committees by the
Kerala Provincial Committee (KPC) of the Communist Party of India (CPI)
to be on the lookout for a CPI member who has suddenly disappeared and
is now evidenced to be an agent of the Central Intelligence Bureau, Gov-
ernment of India (GDI). He was an active and very popular CPI worker
anonv the students of the United State of Travancore-Cochin (USTC). He
was frequently seen in student hostels and in popular eating places; CPI
members admired him for his dramatic escapes from near police arrests
with other party members.
This member, while working inside the CPI, was able to contribute the
information which led to the arrest of several CPI members in the
Edapally Police Station Raid case. An effective raid on the Kalady
headquarters of the KPC was also attributed to the information this
member supplied to the USTC police.
