The Fliogerhorst Kaserne in Nouruppin (11 53/w 49) was occupied to capacity by an AT artillery unit on 13 July 19550. There was much activity in the installation. About 200 soldiers wore training at the airfield with eight AT guns of 50 to 70 mr1 caliber. A lieutenant colonel of artillery was the ranking officer? There was mach truck traffic to and from the construction site 2. Both sections of the See Kaserne were occupied to capacity, -Lost of the officers seen in the southeastern section wore tank insignia, while others word, artillery insignia. In the other section of the installation more artillery insignia were seen than tank insignia. Fifteen JS tanks were seen in front of and in the garages of the M 3. 25X1 C section. Signal troops were observed in the northwestern section. An artillery colonel was seen on 17 Julir 1 On 17 July 190, the See Kaserne was occupied to 75 percent of capacity by about 800 soldiers wearing rod-bordered black, epaulets with tank and artillery insignia, The T-3L tanks and one JS tank were in the barracks yard. Garages for trucks, rocket launchers and mortars are on Scholtenplatz (square) and are gt rded by soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets. Rocket launcher was identified in this square and nine rocket launchers were seen in the garages. Ten 120-. mortars were observed in the square on 13 July 1950. Despite the shipments which left the airfield the week before, the number of personnel and vehicles ;ras not decreased. (1) The preset occupation is estimated at 600 ruin.
