1. Letter to Sen. Knowland, complying with entry No. 6 of
30 March.(Delivered by hand)
2. Informed Mr. Nisson (Sen. Thomas, Utah) (See entry No. 8
of 30 March) that we did not have copies of "Alpha & Beta Ray Counters",
that it was printed under the auspices of Office of Technical Services,
Dept. of Commerce, and could be obtained through Congressional Library.
3. Recd call from Mr. Irwin, LRB, requesting that we release
to them the file on LB case No. 7. This was necessary in order that the
Regional Loyalty Board could weigh his case as he is an applicant for
another Civil Service position. After consultation with the Chairman of
the Board, I informed Mr. Irwin that inasmuch-as this man was still an
employee of CIA we did not see fit to release the file as we had made the
final adjudication which had been post-audited with approval by the LRB.
4. Talked with Immigration Sub-Committee who have requested
various reports from CIA. (See memoranda of 1 April to the Director).
