Statement by the Director
Mr. Chairman, before we get into our budget matters, I
want to say that your remarks which appeared in the Congressional
Record of Z6 March were indeed very heartwarming to me personally.
More importantly, however, your statements about the personnel of
the Agency and their dedication, integrity, and effectiveness have
provided a tremendous boost to the morale of our people. Your expression
of appreciation and warm regard for the people who make up the Agency
is a continuing source of strength. Mr. Chairman, on behalf of my
colleagues and employees of the Agency, I express my sincere
appreciation for your statement.
