Because of the many wrecks near the entrance of the harbor, entering ships must sail south around Light Buoys 10 and 11 and then west of Light Buoy 14. Positions 1 to 10 mark the route to ?"SwinemUnde ._ An-- steuerung Ost" ~ The route branching off to "SwinemU#nde -- Ansteuerung M sti? starts from Position 10. From Position 11, the path continues in the general direction of 1705 (sic), according to the normal arrangement of :ii ht buoys in the harbor. At Light Buoy "Swinoujscie", behind Light Buoy 114, all ships must cast anchor and wait for a pilot. Left and right of the route, which is marked on both sides i_th net buoys (Netzbojen) because of the mine-sweeping -,mxrk, are several dangerous wrecks. For this reason, the harbor entrance +.s used almost exclusively only during the day. &mrxzig.. The widening of the northern entrance to Danzig Harbor was r ~ls 1 e .` in t3 ha ;um er of 1949, and on 20 :loveriber 19149 all work on the ina ,or improvements (Hafenregulierung) was concluded, The only reconstruetior work currently under way is that n e the f shi n;? harbor (Harbor Basin 2). ?,il,ich is to be .finish. by the fn?..l of 195Ch. It is a green flashing light with a sin le beak; the light recurs every 2 seconds, flashing on for. 1 second and off for 1 second. The light is 4.5 meters above the water and has a ran{:e of 4,5 nautical miles. 5-41 31, 35" north, 180 33' 8" east, on the tip of the west pier in the fieV.iing harbor. It is a t reen flashing light with a single break; the light recurs ever, 2 seconds, flashin- on f. or 1 second and off for _L second, The light is 5 meters above the rater and has a range of 0.5 nautical miles. 540 319 36" north, 18'-1 33' 1.511 east, at the tip of the east pier in the fishing harbor. It is a red flashing; light with a single break; the light; recurs every 2 seconds, flashing on for 1 second and off for 1 second. The light has a range of 0.5 nautical miles. c RI genmalde. North of Rttgenrralc?e, the Russians have installed a light and o,ana-signal. buoy (Leuchtheul.tcnne) at 540 2'7' 1811 north, 16,0 13' 48" cast, ac~proximateiy 2 nautical miles 295 (sic) from the Rigenvralde beaco:;r- li ,h (Leuchtfeuer) . Thy buoy has vertical red and white stripes, and its flashing light is white, with 40 flashes per minute. :LO. Seven cable lengths west-northwest of this is a light buoy marking the wreck of a small German auxi11t.rT- cruiser. U., Rostock. Since the end of Nover,ber there has been at Rostock a marked T-Ficre~se in traffic of l3.pht RL.ssiarl naval forces.
