northeast of 3ecin in narthern Bohemia. =is report is dated spring 1"j.
2. *Prior to '.fond War II four small artifical silk stills were in operation now Janska.
The Oerrtan military authorities took theta over during the war for the producti.n of
spare parts for airplanes. Tunnels were thriven into the hill (70 motors high) by
the mills and an,undergrotstd pant was built. It is said that the tunnels stretch
at least 1,000 meters. Several hundred forced laborers worked in the plant. A
barracks camp was bull: for thaw in the neighborhood. The laborers had been brought
from the Rabenatein Concentration Camp.?
3. "After World War II th_ entire complex was taken over by the Czech authorities.
The machines were dismantled. Production of finished concrete products began in
one of the former silk mills. The other bu!1dingc were used a:. corn silos. Po-
tatoes and vegetables were stored in the underground inst.-llationa.
