SUBJECT: Flectrocolor Feasibility Study
1. At the request of Pt DS/D1 , the submitted
proposal on 24 November to perform a ccmfp ete eva uat ,on of the
Blectrocolor Process. The total funding requested for the study was
however, an alternate first phase was also proposed at thu
level of effort. At that time was p.reparitag
to send back tol the F1ectrocolor machine they were renting.
Anticipating a contract with the Agency to evaluate the blectrocolow
Systw , has not returned their machine but
continued to rent it at an approximate cost

2. Since the submittal of their proposal] has 25X1
made several inquiries as to the status of a decision on their proposal.
As it is unfair to expect to continue paying rental
on the machine in anticipation or a cot-tract, it is of utmost urgency
that PIS takes some action with the proposed ilectrocolor Feasibility
Study. The PM Catalog Form on this study was prepared ozs 28 Decembber?
1965, and immediate TDB action should Le scheduled. We plan to proceed
with 11 level of effort in FY 1x66 and supplement this in
PY 194 a propriate. This project Las been coordinated with
