Procurement of Safe File Cabinets: (continued) Two hundred each of the Herring-Hall-Marvin safe files as purchased under order 55-31+3 through General Services Administration were received at - warehouse during the past week. An inspection of the safes was made by the Physical Security Division/OS'representatives It is believed that the Inspection Service of the Federal Supply Service should make official inspection and report on the safes. Necessary arrangements to accomplish the inspection by Federal Supply Service are in process and should be completed and the inspection made within the next few days. Another order for one hundred (100) each o-11' the safes was placed by this Branch last week on which delivery is not expected for another 90 days or more. In the event that the present safes now on hand are officially found to be unsatisfactory; remaining orders will be canceled or modified to include any revised specifications which may result from the inspection of present safes.
