PAN-SHIN AND SHANG-CHIH, CHINA
This repor is a detailec analysis of the Pan-shih and Shang-cnih
Petroleum Products Storage (PUG) sites as seen oniphotography.
These are the most recently identified of 41 large e petroleum products
storage sites constructed in China Studies
of the other sites can be found in earlier reports.
It should be noted that these installations were previously referred
to as "Regional Petroleum Storage," but are now known by their Basic Ency-
clopedia name, 'Petroleum Products Storage (PUG)," the latter abbreviation
meaning "partially underground."

This installation is located at 43-02-30N 126-02-30E, six nautical
miles north of Pan-shih in Kirin Province. It consists of four partially
underground storage tanks, a support area, and a railhead (Figures I
and 2). The installation is served both by road and by a rail spur from
the Pan-shih to Yen-tung-shan Railroad, about 300 feet to the southwest.
The site was complete when first observed on photography
and appeared unchanged on overage.

This installation is located at 45-13-30N 127-51-OOE, five nautical
miles west of Chu-ho in Kirin Province. It consists of seven partially
underground storage tanks, a support area, and a railhead (Figures 3
and 4).
The storage site was first observed on photography
at which time, the tanks were completed but not yet mounded. Subsequent
coverage of the installation is not available.
