The installations are selected from the various military districts and regions in the Soviet Union and China and include Category I, II, and III Combat Units, Combat Support Units, Training Areas, Depots and Storage Areas, Test Facilities, and Production Facilities. Installation names are derived from the DIA Bombing Encyclopedia (May 1866). Each installation is examined for physical changes to the facilities, changes in the 1eve1 of activity, and the identification of vehicles and equipment. A11 changes in facilities and vehicle equipment type and~or count are referenced to the most recent detailed report on the installation. In cases where reports do not exist, the changes are referenced to the most recent complete mission readout. The sequence of installation listing within this report is by country, type of target, military district or region, and alphabetical) b installation name. Area L2 - Re-evaluation shows 1 range observation tower, 5 fire control buildings, 1 possible range storage building, and 3 range support buildings. There are still 5 active moving-target runs and several abandoned moving-target runs. Area Ml - Re-evaluation reveals this area to be a wheeled-ve is e river training course. The area contains 1 maintenance building, 1 storage building, and 6 support buildings. These are at least 8 figure-eight driver-training courses and a series of closed-circuit driver-training courses. There are several vehicle revetments and 6 unoccupied AAA revetments. Area T~12 - Re-evaluation of this vehicle driver- training area revea s figure-eight driver-training courses and a serpentine driver-training area. There are 2 possible barracks build,~ngs, 3 support buildings, and several vehicle revetments. Area N - Re-evaluation of the area reveals 1 range observa ion ower, 6 range support buildings, 3 firing lanes, 11 moving-target runs, and 3 probable abandoned moving- target runs.
