HEAT AND POWER PLANT "ALUMINUM" TETS
STALINSK, USSR
25X1 D The Stalinsk Heat and Power Plant "Aluminum" TETS, appearing
on is located in the southeast section of Kuznetsk,
an industrial suburb of Stalinsk. Power is supplied to the adjacent
Aluminum Combine "Stalin" (see HTA/M-48/57) and to other industries
and coal mines in the Stalinsk-Kuznetsk Basin. It is reported to be one
of the three largest power plants in the Kuznetsk Basin grid, generating
about 21 per cent of the total power in that grid.
The plant area measures approximately 2,100 by 1,400 over-all,and
is roughly rectangular in shape. It is both road and rail served. Two
detached stacks, each 145 feet high, are present. Major components
of the power plant are identified on the line drawing and described in the
key to annotations which follows.
