SUBJECT Request for Procurement Action
1. It is requested that a Geochron World Time Indicator be
procured for use in ICRS

Corporation, 2515 Palm Place, San Mateo, California 94403. A xerox
copy of a brochure describing the Geochron is attached as an aid in
ordering.

time zones is original with Geochron and the total map as used
in the Geochron is copyrighted by the Kilburg +Geochron Cor-
poration, 1964.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Geochron operates on 110 volt AC, 60 cycle power.
It is available also in models for 50 cycle power and other line
voltages. Ilumination is provided by two F15T8 fluorescent
lamps. These are easily changed by pulling down the lamp
holders from beneath the bottom frame of the Geochron which
electrically disconnects the sockets and pen-nits simple exchange
of lamps without shock hazard.
Lamps are available in various colors that may be used to
accent certain colors in the map to match interior decoration
requirements. Colors available include: Deluxe Warm White,
Deluxe Cool White, Cool Green, Daylight and Blue.
Geochron is approximately 34 inches long, 223 inches high,
and 4~ inches deep. It is designed to mount on any wall or mov-
able panel.
Geochron is available with a sliding vertical and horizontal
straight edge as well as an hour angle band for those who require
)frequent reference to local time, Greenwich time, hour angles,
declination of the sun, equation of time, as well as referring
sunset and sunrise to degrees latitude. An accessory mounting
panel with casters is available for those who wish to move Geo-
chron about.
