5, The North Korean 2nd Regiment had 120 T-34 tanks with 500 hp., 12--cylinder
diesel engines, requiring one liter of fuel for two kilometers of travel.
The tanks were armed with one 85-rim. gum and two 7.62 machine guns. The
tankers were taught by Korean instructors. At first, no instructions were
given the tank commanders on act$.on to protect the tanks during an enemy
attack. When they reached the Pan River, they were told to hide the tanks
when aircraft were present by driving into straw-thatched hones.
