They said that Von 5e J.
ydlitz was very well informed about places and
conditions in the United States.and that he might well be an American,
Von Seydlitz spoke very good German and excellent E he usually
conversed in English with the Estonians. Von Seydlitz
as follows: 29 years of age (as of June 1953); 170 cm. in height; black
hair; dark brown eyes; oval face; strong build.
b. Erich Plessen. This individual was allegedly a British deserter who
fled to East Germany ir, 1948, came into conflict with the Soviets there,
and was tried for espionage. He told the other inmates at Inta that
in 1936 he had won the them ionshi In boxing at the Olympic Games. He
spoke poor German. Plessen as follows: 36 or 37 years
of age (as of June 1953); 1 cm. in height; blond hair; light gray-
green eyes; vigorous, athletic build.
