SUBJECT: External Training for Local Technician
REFERENCE: MFA-1019 dated 28 August 1981
1. The Engineering Division is presently in contact with several
organizations that have correspondence courses in all phase of electronics.
These courses vary from basic electronics to microprocessors.
2. The Engineering Division has requested that money be budgeted in
FY-82 to enable us to enroll several of our local-technicians in some of
these courses. The courses will be tailored to the qualifications of each
individual technician.
3 has been included on our list of persons to receive STAT
some of these courses. Let me emphasize the courses will be on the level
that we think the technician will.be able to grasp and will most benefit
FBIS.
4. We will be contacting you after all has been firmed up as far as
availability of monies and as to what courses we are recommending for _
TAT
5. All necessary paperwork will be handled from Headquarters when
the time arrives for the enrollment. Budgeting will also be handled from
Headquarters so you will not have to show any money for this type of training
during your budgeting cycle.
