Committee staff, isited Headquarters to review the OSS files on Indochina
to identify those documents he will want reviewed for declassification.
Mr. Blum will return tomorrow at 10:00 a. m. and hopes to complete his
reliminar designation of documents contained in these files at that time.

OER, to a meeting with r. o er oyer, House Foreign Affairs Committee
staff, concerning opium traffic in Burma. See Memorandum for the Record.
3. I I I talked to Mr. Charles Horner, Senate
National Security and International Operations Subcommittee staff, concerning
the briefing on China requested by Dorothy Fosdick, Staff Director. As to
Miss Fosdick's suggestion concerning western and eastern Europe and the
Middle East, Mr. Horner said that they are interested in the operational
aspects of Chinese foreign policy. They are interested in political activities
in both the informal and diplomatic levels and would like to identify as far
as possible at this time Chinese activities in the Persian Gulf area, Egypt,
Syria and Sudan. As for the Senator's travel plans, Mr. Horner said that
I would have to check with Miss Fosdick for that information.
