1. This report consists of two sketches of the ftsilier Bwrracks and Putlitz
Barracks of the Rostock Volkspolizeis, and sumaandblgareas, with accompany-
ing notations at below.
The Fusilier Barracks mod the Ntlitz Barracks were formerly separated by a
high wall. This wall baa been torn down and the two barracks made into a
unit which:is oc=Up4ed. ely31usive1y by the Volkepolizei. About 40500 to
50000 men are loc +el here.
3. Abova 200 me% are quartered in espill of the tbree-story buildings. The
build,ingt indicated by budbere on the second sketch axe as follows:.

Army ration. depots This consists of three five-story buildings with deep
cellars. The buildings axe 150 1;30 meters. It ham a two-track railway sid-
ing with-loading ramps, bailAing No. 12 (aketch,l) is reserved for the Soviet
forces and, filled with canned food. NuMbers 11 and 10 are for the Voikspolisei.
RostoCk-Barnstorff target range: Thi e occupies an area of 10500 by 1,000
meters. There are six firing ranges, in addition to pistols and maehine
gun stand p.,

The remaining renolning forested land is enclosed by barbed wire. An ammunition
magazine is located there. In the larger magazines there are stores of old
antitank rockets of various sizes. The magazines are linked by a good
2,5 meters wide asphalted street. The magazines are generally 3 x 1,5 meters
in size.
New Racetrack (number 13, sketch 1); The Iblkapolizei recruits drill and
practice close combat here. House and trench fighting are practiced on
the old parade ground-
