SUBJECT: Speeches by HPSCI/SSCI Staff Director Before the Senior
Officer's Development Course
1. This is to notify you that I have been in touch with Messrs. Latimer
and Simmons re your invitation to them to speak on Tuesday, 30 March, at
13:30 hours and 15:00 hours, respectively, before the Senior Officers Develop-
ment Course on the subject of "Congressional Oversight". Both individuals have
accepted the invitation to speak and have been made aware of the one hour
and 15 minute time frame made available to them.
2. I personally will be present to escort both individuals and--with
your permission--would like to sit through each presentation. Given my
present position and the fact that I've worked in the "legislative" arena
for the Agency for the past four years, I may be able to provide the class
with an Agency perspective to the issues aired by the Hill staff.
3. Looking forward to meeting you on the 30th. Please advise as to
room number.
