Krasnouralsk Depot East is located approx-
imately 6 kilometers (km) east of ICrasnouralsk
(Figure 1). The installation is served by a
spur from the Krasnouralsk rail line and has
all-weather, secondary-road access to Kras-
nouralsk. This storage area is probably directly
associated with Krasnouralsk Explosives Plant
Other military installations
i.n the vicinity include Verkhnyaya Salda ICBM
Complex,. located. about 23 km southeast, and
Verkhnyaya Salda SAM Site, located S km east.
This double-secured depot (Figures 2 and
3) covers approximately 550 acres and includes
133 revetted storage buildings, 12 support build-
ings, and one transshipment facility. A smaller
secured area located 2 km southwest includes
eight revetted storage buildings and a support
building. No support area is directly associated
with the storaF;e depot, as it is located just
east of Krasnouralsk Explosives Plant.
Comparative analysis revealed no increase
in the level of usage at the installation since
initial coverage in until the latest
coverage Significant changes
between 'nclude the addition of
eight revetted storage buildings southwest of the
installation.
A spur from Krasnouralsk serves both the
large and small storage areas. Atransshipment
facility consisting of a long rectangular build-
ing is located in the southwestern corner of area
F2.
Probable all-weather secondary roadspro-
vide access to Krasnouralsk.
These facilities probably are located ad-
jacent to ICrasnouralsk Explosives Plant.
Ammunition Storage Areas
Area F1 (Figure 3) contains eight 120-
by 40-foot revetted storage buildings and one
support building,.
Area F2 contains one-hundred-thirty-three
90- by 35-foot rf~vetted storage buildings and 12
support buildings. Trackage indicates probable
continuous occupancy.
