Robert .Kirk, president of _ the, Vought Corp., a defense contractor in Dallas, has called for international curbs on new "killer satellites" to :avert a possible arms race in space. The Vought Corp, has a defense con- tract to design such a satellite, of a type believed similar to the Soviet satellite that disintegrated over Ca- nada last week. Kirk said he. could not discuss the details of his compa- ny's work but that "because of some of the things I'veseen-'. . our stakes getting, awfully- high' Kirk said a broad= international treaty ~ was needed.
