Details

The South Rose Window in Notre Dame Cathedral was a gift from the French king Saint Louis IX in 1260. The stained glass window measures 12.9 m (42 ft) in diameter and contains 84 panes of glass. The themes are the New Testament and the Triumph of Christ reigning over heaven and surrounded by all his witnesses on earth.
