The south side of the Erechtheion with the “Porch of the Maidens,” composed of six draped female figures (caryatids) as supporting columns. One of the six figures was removed in the early 19th century and is now in the British Museum in London; it was replaced by a copy. The Acropolis Museum in Athens holds the remaining original five figures, which have been replaced onsite by replicas.
