40 vol. percent of the strengthening fiber provides over an 8-
fold increase in the ultimate strength of the matrix and otter a
15-fold increase in yield strength. The long,-timi isrren,.-gth of
the resultant composite is 40-50 porcent higniir than for the best
heat-resining nickel alloys.
