As you may be aware, in June 1995 the EXDIR established the
DO/DI Honduras Working Group (HWG) to review documents and
prepare a briefing for Congress and other US policymakers
concerning allegations of human rights abuses committed by
Honduran officials. We are working to finish our report, but
there are still a few gaps that even an extensive review of files
failed to fill in. Therefore, the EXDIR has asked the HWG to
work with its legal adviser to write questions that address these
gaps. We request your assistance in answering the attached
questions, which are divided into four ke areas. An additional
