I wish to commend you and the personnel under your command for
the outstanding work you have been performing on the Cuban
problem.
2. Your analysis of the Cuban photography and the results
of the careful research you have conducted have been of the utmost
importance in supporting me and the President of the United States.
3. I have full knowledge of the tremendous pressures and
long working hours with which your office has been confronted.
I regret that the anonymity required of a professional intelli-
