1. Please accept this note of appreciation
from an MG'er for the professional and personal
contributions made by Gerry Hughes during his
tour on your staff.
2. Changes in directorate leadership, career
service to sub-group, staff reorganizations, new
personnel. objectives, different management styles,
ad infinitum, would have left some in his position
spinnin- g 1 ke a top. Not Gerry! He never lost
sight of his primary responsibility - the MG
careerist! He was always available, kept us
informed, and worked hard for each of us, blending
tact and humor with his inborn integrity.
3. We're all delighted about his new
assignment, but will sorely miss his "care and
