I I Met with Pat Holt, Consultant, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who told me the new Senate Multinational Corporation Subcommittee is not planning any hearings on any subject until after the beginning of the new Congress. He said they have progressed rapidly -:however, : into rather voluminous areas. The overall Committee review of the multinational corporations at present is viewed as a project of some three to four years duration. The ITT hearings on ITT Corporation activities in Chile will probably receive somewhat more press play than the more important broad objectives of the Subcommittee but should be of relatively short duration. No hearings on this matter are contemplated until after the beginning of the next Congress. Mr. '= Division, has been advised. (Unclassified - LLM) Met with Robert Mosbacher, Staff Assistant to Senator Howard Baker (R. , Tenn.), concerning arrange- ments for his scheduled meeting with the Advanced Intelligence Seminar on Wednesday, 18 October, at 2:00.
