SUBJECT: Recomanendation for Promotion -- HERIaIHY, John F.
1. Mr. Herlihy has been with the
as a Physical Security Officer, in a
Grade GS-11 Slot, since 22 March 1956?
2. Mr. Herlihy readily adapted himself to the duties as-
signed in this capacity. Because of the competent and efficient
manner in-which he performed his duties, a recommendation for a
promotion to Grade GS-9 was submitted and made effective 29 July
1956.
3. For the past six months due to the vacancy of the
Chief's Position, the subject has been
performing duties as the Acting Assistant Chief of the Branch.
He has executed his performance in this capacity in a highly
commendable manner and is indeed an asset to this Branch.
4. In view of Mr. Herlihy's completely satisfactory per-
formance, and'in consideration of the fact that he has been in
Grade GS-9 for a period of one year, it is recommended that he be
promoted to Grade GS-11.
