Since the apeearance of newtpepee "Denuncia" in this area, it
is been the opinion of Conte Aguero end other newspapermen in this
Area, that the style and phraseology utilized, appears to home been
confectioned by Pedro Leyva of the Newspapermen/1 gindyccate,nt-tA0-
tion_ gr_cubmjmeimmer in this_aras.
On October the 31st., I was informed by Mario Marti, cuban news-
paperman, who had been invited the night of the 30th., to a meeting
held by the Newspapermen's Syndicate, thst Pedro Leyva stated to the
-newspapermen gathered there, that he could not devote all his time
to the Syndicate, since he was working with the newspaper Denuncia"
end actively .mg aged in the confection of the next edition, requles- �
ting.that this be kept secret. Cesar Landis, Cuban newspaperman pre-
sent, according to Marti, told Leyva that this was no secret and that
all of the newsmen in the are, were aware of this.
IQ41T3S In the puhlicetion of the 1st. of 0ctober,1962, under co-
lumn "Panel", in the 3rd. pngd, the !Imes Macho Ber*Lee and Juan Mesa,
are mentioned 33 CIA agents ( Report on Juan Mesa was submitted on
Oct.9th.1962, Report No.16).
In the publication of Oct.17th.1962, under the column "Pnnel",pa-
ge 8, the names Joaquin Senienie and Macho Barquer of tne CIA, are
