MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD:
1. Mt. Pawley called to say that three independent sources
in Havana have reported the rumor that Minister Counselor Braddock
is the head of a conspiracy to overthrow Castro, and that the
junta to replace Castro would consist of Carrillo, Verona, Luis
Casero, Miro Cardona, Barquin, Borbonnet, Martin Elena, Huber
Matos, Garcia Tunon, Gutierrez Menoyo.
2. NU.. Manuel de Moyal Ambassador from the Dominican Republic,
received in Mt. Pawley's office am= calling himself Dam Bartone,
Vice President in Charge of sales of the Alvin Neiman Corporation,
1810 Terminal Tower Building, Cleveland, Ohib. According to Mr.
Pawley, this man VW every inch a gangster. There was talk of
counterfeiting fifty million dollars of Cuban money. The printing
job would cost $50,000.
