Please consider this an official request under the Freedom of Information Act.
I am requesting copies of any reports, documents, letters or memos concerning the
explosion, fire and crash of TWA Flight 800 in July of 1996. The aircraft crashed off
of Long Island New York shortly after takeoff. The National Transportation Safety
Board has ruled the jet's center fuel tank exploded killing more than 200 crew
members and passengers. I am especially interested in any documents which the
cause of the explosion is discussed and/or explained.
I am requesting that all fees concerning my request be waived because any
information provided may be used in news programming which would be in the
public interest. WNEP-TV, NEWSWATCH 16 serves 22 counties in Northeastern
and Central Pennsylvania.
