This is a final response to your 24 July 2002 Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) request as amplified in your letter of 20 August 2002 for records
pertaining to CIA use of cats, dogs and birds. Your request was processed in
accordance with the FOIA, 5 U.S.C. � 552, as amended, and the CIA
Information Act, 50 U.S.C. � 431. Our processing included a search for records
as described in our acceptance letter that were in existence as of and through
the date of that letter, 23 August 2003.
