1. A sensitive source abroad has rdp-Oft6d- the
'following information concerning Timothy' and Rosemary
,
LEARY:
A. Timothy and Rosemary LEARY have
been residing in awiturland since circa
10 May 1971, and the LEARYS plan to remain
there "in hiding" for some time before
moving on. The LEARYS have also expressed
a desire to move eventually to Milne or
to some country like it. Chile is the
LEARYS first choice since, as a socialist
country, it might be receptive to them
and since they would like to live in the
mountains;
B. Upon the LEARYS arrival in Zurich,
Switzerland, (exact date not known), Timothy
LEARY called his American Lawyer, Mike
KENNEDY, and indicated that "all the arrange-
ments had been made in Switzerland", (no
further details) and that he (LEARY) would
not be continuing on to Denmark for his
speaking engagement scheduled for 12 May 1971;

C. Rosemary ErNRY's physician, Dr. Alan
MARGOLIS, has sent a letter to the LEARYS at
an unknown Swiss address advising them that
Rosemary's operatio7, is of a routine nature
and could be done y any qualified gynecologist-
surgeon. Source speculated that Rosemary
would have her peration in Switzerland;
D. Mi KENNEDY, an attorney in the 123� 7
San Francie ,0 Bay Area who has been involva�.. semaerasaso..
in the LEARY's affairs, was instrumental in
effecting e release of Timothy LEARY from
co of Eldridge CLEAVER and the
ck Pijher Party �(BPP) in Algiers. KENNEDY
r por ed y arranged a deal with CLEAVER
wher y LEARY would be released after a large
sum of money was donated to the BPP in Algiers. Hy
KENNEDY was able to negotiate LEARY's release '
