It was learned that., early in September 19511 Felix Cordon Ordas, a Spanish Republican resident in -exico� arrived in Guatemala, Gordon Ordos, who had been charged by the President of the Spanish Republican Government in Exile with the formation of a new government after the resignation of Alvaro Albornnz, went to Guatemala for the specific purpose of getting in touch with President Arbenz and asking financial aid from the Government of Guate- mala for the Spanish Republican Government in Faris; He also wished t(b)(1) present Arbenz with a plan to have an Ambassador of the Spanish Republ(b)(3) appointed to Guatemala if the financial situation w uld permit. 2. President:Urtesnz is said to have received Cordon Ordas with extreme cor- diality and affirmed his good will towards the Spanish Republic.
