Agency comments. I was given the chore of writing the reply in my
capacity as Acting Chief of the Iask Force, pending your arrival on
the scene. I drafted the mmyemx actual reply; VNC Branch (with Larry
Connell doing most of the work) wrote the attachment,

married the two documents, discussed the package with Des Fitzgerald
and then with delms.
ihe final version was typed in Helms' office and
sent to Wm. Bundy over his Qielms') signature as indicated. Since this
was, actually, a Task Force effort, this document should probably repose
in your files.
(2) A memo from me to the DCI. As indicated. in our conversation
become
yesterday, I have limey involved in a variety of extra-curricular official
activities which go rather beyond the bounds of my nominal job description.
lhis memo, prepared for the Director and mmiyx the persons names in
the distribution list only, gives a brief rundown on these. In view of
your present responsibilities, you too should know about these activities,
hence I am giving you this copy to read. I would like it back when you
have finished it.
