1. From 0220Z to 0410Z on 5 October Chinese Communist guns at Shihmaotiou
(approximately N 24-27, E 118-10) shelled Shuit'ou (N 24-24, E 118-18) with
27 rounds. Three buildings were destroyed by direct hits.
2. At 0230Z 35 sail junks entered Shenhuwan (N 24-38, E 118-40).
3. At 0545Z six unidentified naval vessels and the Nationalist ED-5 were outside
Shenhuwan.
4. At 0830Z Chinese Communist guns in Amoy shelled the area at approximately
N 24-28, E 118-17 with 15 rounds.
S. At 0845Z Amoy guns shelled Little Chinmen with 7 rounds.
6. At 1310Z there were three flares over Amoy.
7. At 1530Z a plane over Amoy encountered anti-aircraft fire but dropped no bombs.
8. At 2200Z Shihmaotlou guns shelled Little Chinmen with 5 rounds.
9. At 2400Z there were 326 junks sailing or beached between Amoy and Weitlou
(N 24-30, E 118-34).
10. At 0200Z on 6 October there were 50 junks in Shenhuwan.
