In particular, we would like to have each agency present how it has re-structured its intelligence analysis and production to support the ongoing effort, intelligence gaps that exist in that effort, and the consequences to normal intelligence analysis and production that have resulted from the current shift in priorities. We would like to have Ms. Ellen Laipson, Acting Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Analysis and Production; Mr. John McLaughlin, Deputy Director of Central Intelligence; LtGen James Clapper (USAF, Ret.), Director, National Imagery and Mapping Agency; LtGen Michael Hayden, Director, National Security Agency; VADM Tom Wilson, Director, Defense Intelligence Agency; and BG Keith B. Alexander, Commander, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command each provide to the Committee a brief presentation outlining analytic strength and weaknesses and those areas that require additional resources to ensure the community can cover all its demands and surging requirements. The hearing will be closed and held in Room 11-405 in the Capitol from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on November 14, 2001. We ask that Ms. Ellen Laipson's statement be limited to 15 minutes and each subsequent opening statement be kept to less than five minutes.
