Dear Mr. Kopytoff:
This is a final response to your 19 July 2007 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request for records pertaining to:
1. All contracts involving Google as a vendor, product supplier or
consultant from Aug. 1, 2006 to the present;
2. The 500 most recent e-mails to and from the address ending with
@google.com, Google's corporate e-mail domain.
We processed your request in accordance with the FOIA, 5 U.S.C. 552, as amended, and
the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C. 431, as amended. Our processing included a search
for records as described in our acceptance letter existing through the date of that letter, 8
August 2007.
We did not locate any records responsive to Item 1 of your request.
Regarding the portion of your FOIA request that seeks the 500 most recent e-
mails from the address ending with @google.com, the CIA can neither confirm nor deny
the existence or nonexistence of records responsive to this part of your request. Therefore,
the Agency has denied this portion of your request pursuant to FOIA exemptions (b)(1)
and (b)(3). I have enclosed an explanation of these exemptions for your reference and
retention.

Although our searches were thorough and diligent, and it is highly unlikely that
repeating those searches would change the result, you nevertheless have the legal right to
appeal the finding of no records responsive to your request. Should you choose to do so,
you may address your appeal to the Agency Release Panel within 45 days from the date of
this letter, in my care. Please explain the basis of your appeal.
We appreciate your patience while we processed this request.
Sincerely,
Scott Koch
Information and Privacy Coordinator
