This is a final response to your 7 May 2010 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request, received in the office of the Information and Privacy Coordinator on 14 May
2010, for the following:
1. "Who is the Inspector General for the Central Intelligence Agency?
2. Is there a statutory Inspector General for the intelligence community and if so,
who is it?"
The FOIA was enacted to provide a means for the general public to access
government records. Under the provisions of the FOIA, federal agencies are not required
to answer questions posed as FOIA requests. Since your request does not constitute a
request for records, we must decline to process it.
