MEMORANDUM FOR THE FILES
SUBJECT : Procurement of Telephonic Recording Device
REFERENCE: Memorandum from Chief, Control Division, OCI,
dated 29 April 195+
Reference requested our concurrence in the procurement of a
telephonic recording device for use in the CIA Watch Office. Our
concurrence was as follows:
"Office of General Counsel concurs provided that the
Federal Communications Commission's orders and Telephone
Company regulations concerning the recorders are complied
with. These require that the tone-warning device ("beeper")
be used with a telephone recorder."
