The *IL-L-1808 oil has a different viscosity - temperature characteristic (i.e. has a lower viscosity at lower tesperatures) than the KID-L- 23609. 2. The U-2&-2-1 Technical Manual r.coomends MI L-I -23+ 1. It is suggested that the use of MIL-L-7608 oil be anaeidered for use in the CSD unit on the U-SR aircraft to substitution of *IL-L-780$ oil in the CSD might be a simple solution to the current problem and that specific instructions be Issued to avoid using CS! oil in the engine since P does not allow either siaimm of oil Spec Noss er name brands.
