And their favorite sport is go- ing shopping-for more clothes, of course.- it's a known fact that girls between the ages of 14 and 18 make no one of this country's most power- ful consumer groups, wanting and buying more nflw clothes each season than they may ever again Ill t.hei lives. ooroved For r0 ti .1DVU. en the very definite fashion tastes and wants of the teen-age girl, Wgc Lothrop has a ,mil a at each of four suburban branches-Seven Corners, Alexandria, Chevy Chase and Wheaton. Board mem- bers must not only have the normal interest in what to wear, but must be outstanding in scholastic achievement, citizenship and character. Principals of high schools and.junior high schools in each area are asked by the store each year to recommend sev- eral girls. Board mem- bers are chosen from this away, the girls are having a busy time. They are in- volved with Christmas gift suggestions and holiday party fashions.
