The current status of subject project is furnished for your information. 2. The present contractual arrangement wherein became the 100 percent sub-contractor has allow o proceed, and progress seems well underway. There is every reason to expect that this trend will continue and the quality of work will improve. 4. As of 29 December 1971 the contractor has only made an oral request to the Contracting Officer for an extension of the contract completion from 7 April to 2 June 1972. This must be a formal request with appropriate justification to the Contracting Officer before it can be acted upon by the Contra 'n Officer. In Re meantime there has been no delay of work. 5. The on-site meetings have been most productive in resolving the many problems that have arisen on this project and have been a useful vehicle in making your desires known to - and the contractor. We will continue to maintain close supervision of the contractor and insure that he completes all work to the best acceptable standards in the established time frame.
